Never a Dull Moment

I think Brayden adjusting to his growing into his body, he seems to bump and fall into everything. So I thought I would share the latest incident… Brayden’s black eye, yep that’s right I said black eye. He was in the garage and I went inside to change into some shorts so we could wash the car and not more that 5 seconds after I stepped inside, I heard a CRASH, and then crying. He somehow ended up falling next to the jetski and his tricycle. He has a few scraps on his face plus a bruise and a black eye.

I don’t know how I am going to be able to handle these things as he gets older. I imagine we will have a few visits to the emergency room during his adolescence.

A few other things he’s learned how to do lately…

This past week he learned how to unlock the deadbolt on the front door. So off to Home Depot we go to figure out a solution to that. I swear just as soon as I put a fix on something he learns how to do something else. And the light switches. He thinks it’s the coolest thing that he can run around the house and turn off all the lights. I think it reminds him of movie night. Every once in a while Ryan, Brayden and I will gather on the couch and watch a movie in the dark. So now that Brayden will go around the house, turn off all the lights, and get his snuggie and park himself on the couch ready to watch some TV or a movie.

As I posted in the past, Brayden is sleeping in a big kid bed now. It’s been going great at night, but during nap time he sometimes has a tendency to keep getting up. So I got out the pack n play – and what do you know, he figured out how to climb in and out. So now he thinks it is soooo cool to get up on his rocking horse do something that resembles a somersault into the bed and then he climbs right back out and does it again and again. He’s a good kid, but boy is strong willed and quick to learn.
